Robert J. Kane

     Robert J. "Bob" Kane, 55, of Williamsport, passed away Tuesday, August 15, 2017, at his home.

     Born July 8, 1962, in Williamsport, he was a son of William E. Kane Sr. (Lillian), of Williamsport and Carol A. (Woodring) Wool, of Trout Run.

     He was a 1982 graduate of Williamsport Area High School. He was formerly employed as a laborer at Wool Block. 

     Bob had a passion for anything outdoors, nature, and the mountains. He loved animals and enjoyed Native American Heritage, tying flies, fishing and collecting precious stones.

     Surviving in addition to his mother and father are his wife of 27 years, Margaret M. (Zellers) Kane, of Williamsport; a son, Robert J. Harer, of Williamsport; grandson, Kayne A. Harer; maternal grandmother, Helen M. Bunge, of Florida; four brothers, William E. Kane Jr. (Dawn), of Lock Haven, Kelly L. Kane (Patti), of Trout Run, C. David Wool Jr. (Kayla), of Cogan Station, and Todd A. Wool, of Montandon; a sister, Kim A. Kane (James), of North Carolina; and numerous nieces and nephews.

     He was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandmother, Helen R. Minner; his step-father, C. David Wool Sr.; and a nephew, Skyler Wool.

     Services will be held private at the convenience of the family.

     In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Bob’s name to the SPCA, 2805 Reach Road, Williamsport, PA 17701.
