Dick and I were in the same class in elementary school and were pals then; a friendship cut short when I moved away. We never caught up with each other again, sorry to say.  Through the years I'd sometimes wonder what happened to him.  He was instantly recognizable in the newspaper photo which must have been taken at least 70 years since we were kids. I'm thankful for his long life and family, and I send my condolences to you all.
