Welcome to the memorial page for

Nicky D. Stahl

January 16, 1656 ~ November 13, 2017 (age 361) 361 Years Old

Nicky D. "Nick" Stahl, 61, of Cogan Station, passed away unexpectedly Monday, Nov. 13, 2017, at Geisinger Medical Center.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jane Stahl, on Jan. 27, 2017, with whom they would have celebrated 39 years of marriage on May 19.

Born Jan. 16, 1956, in Williamsport, he was a son of the late Donald H. Stahl and Jean D. (Meyer) Stahl, of Williamsport.

Nick was a 1973 graduate of Williamsport High School and graduated from American Motorcycle Institute as a certified motorcycle mechanic. He was currently going on his 40th year of employment at Thermal Product Solutions as an assembler and received a certification in refrigeration.

He was a longtime member of Trinity United Methodist Church.

Nick was one of the good ones. He was kind and considerate always ready to lend a hand to a friend in need. He was a dedicated husband and loving father. He treasured spending time with his grandsons, attending their ball games, and teaching them everything he knew. Nick always had a dog or two by his side and cared for many of God’s creatures during his life. He took pride in his work ethic, was a do-it-yourselfer, and always had a project to work on. Also, he always felt more at home being outdoors, whether it was tinkering on his projects or in his younger years hunting and fishing.

Surviving in addition to his mother are a daughter, Cori Jo Stahl, of Montoursville; two grandsons, Quinn and Aspen Stahl-Emig; two brothers, Randy A. and Terry L. Stahl, both of Roaring Branch; a niece and nephew, and a special cousin, Karen S. Ranck, of Montoursville.

A funeral service to honor the life of Nick will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, November 18, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 1971 Lycoming Creek Road, Williamsport, with  the Rev. James R. Behrens officiating. Burial will follow in St. Michael’s Lutheran Church Cemetery, Quiggleville. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church.
