Marie M. (Mahaffey) Miller

     Marie M. Miller, 88, of Williamsport, died Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2018, at the Williamsport Home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur L. Miller on Sept. 28, 1999.

     Born Sept. 30, 1929, in Linden, she was a daughter of the late Gustie and Letha (Bower) Mahaffey.

     Marie was a Williamsport High School graduate and was a member of Hillview Baptist Church. She was employed with Sylvania for 36 years. She enjoyed paint by numbers, flower gardening, and quilting.

     Surviving are a son, David L. (Hester) Miller, of Linden; nine grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. 

     In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by two sons, Floyd E. and Dale L. Miller; a daughter, Jeanne Smith; a granddaughter, Kelly Smith; and five sisters, Betty, Hazel, Grace, Merna, and Verla. 

     A funeral service to honor the life of Marie will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 14 at Knight-Confer Funeral Home, 1914 Memorial Ave., Williamsport, with the Rev. Timothy R. Kinney Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until time of service at Knight-Confer Funeral Home.

     In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Marie’s name to Hillview Baptist Church, 40 Hillview Ave., Williamsport, PA 17701.
