Mae Louise (Russell) Coffman "Dudy"

    Mae Louise (Russell) Coffman, "Dudy", 92, of Montoursville, died peacefully Sunday, November 12, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family.

    Born March 23, 1925 in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late Anthony S. and Mae Louise (McCloskey) Russell. She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Dr. Kaohlin Miner Coffman, "Curly" on October 16, 2016 and a sister Doris E. Klay.

    Dudy was a 1942 graduate of South Williamsport High School. She received her nursing degree from  Union Memorial Hospital , Baltimore .  She worked as a nurse at Union Memorial Hospital, the Rothfuss Clinic, Williamsport, and also with her husband at his private practice in Montoursville. Her greatest joy was being a homemaker and lovingly caring for her family.  

    A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend, she is survived by her five children, Douglas K. Coffman (Kathy), of Dushore, Christine C. Gardner (Jay), Brian R. Coffman, Spencer M. Coffman (Candy), and Andrew E. Coffman (Carol), all of Montoursville, grandchildren, Amy, Matthew, Jen, David, Emily, Ryan, Katie, Clinton, Olivia, Colt, Jake, and Megan, 13 great-grandchildren, nephew Tony Klay (Karen) and niece Carol Klay.

    A funeral service to honor the life of Mae will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery.
