Ken Pappy Perks, 84, of Williamsport, passed away Monday, Nov. 5, 2018, at UPMC Susquehanna Williamsport.
Born Aug. 11, 1934, in West Pittston, he was a son of the late Stanley P. Perks and Mabel Marie (Glass) Kearney.
Pappy was a U.S. Army veteran and served during the Vietnam War in the 82nd Airborne. He was a member of the Veterans of the Vietnam War , Post PA 51, Young Marines and the 28th Infantry Division. After his service in the military he was employed as a security officer for many years.
Surviving are a sister, Janet Welsh, of North Carolina, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four brothers, Raymond Perks, Russell Perks, Francis Kearney and Jack Kearney, and two sisters, Dorthalea Sheppard and Sandra Saavedra.
A graveside service to honor the life of Pappy will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, in Green Lawn Memorial Park, Montgomery.
