James W. Lantz

     James W. "Jim" Lantz, 83, of Williamsport, passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2019.

     He was born to Harold and Lucy Lantz, in Yeagertown. Jim did college coursework for music and Biblical studies. Additionally, he served in the Army and especially relished playing in the Army band. He was an accomplished musician and singer, devoted Sunday school teacher, avid walker and prolific poet.

     Jim married the late Linda Lantz. Surviving are four children Lori L. Morrison (Walter); Elaine N. Stank (Albert), Stephen M. Lantz (Alison), and David J. Lantz (Jody); seven grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. 

     A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday Jan. 4, at Knight Confer Funeral Home, 1914 Memorial Ave., Williamsport. Burial will be held privately in Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy.
