Iva V. (Grimes) Koch

     Iva V. Koch, 81, of Williamsport, died Thursday, Nov. 30, 2017, at the Gatehouse of Divine Providence Hospital.

     Born Oct. 28, 1936, in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late Francis and Sarah (Oerely) Grimes.

     Iva was employed at various restaurants as a waitress over the years. She enjoyed crafts, restoring old things to new, flower gardening and was a faithful and devoted Christian.

     Surviving are eight children, Grant James Koch, of Williamsport, Wayne Allen Koch (Yvonne), of Williamsport, Lori Ann Berninger, of Williamsport, Craig Alan Koch, of Williamsport, Steven LeRoy Koch (Beverly), of Scranton, Keith Michael Koch (Jeanne), of Williamsport, Kevin Michael Koch (Tammy), of Williamsport, and Wade Edward Tilburg (Patricia), of Cogan Station; 17 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Russell Grimes, of Williamsport and Francis Grimes, of Hughesville; a sister, Sarah Gray (Bobby), of Picture Rocks; and numerous nieces and nephews.

     In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Gerald Lee Koch; a granddaughter, Iva V. Berninger; a brother, Beneval Grimes; and two sisters, Lillian Grimes and June Wertman.

     In keeping with her wishes services will be held private at the convenience of the family. 

     In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Iva’s name to Susquehanna Health Foundation c/o The Gatehouse, 1001 Grampian Blvd., Williamsport, PA 17701.
