Harry W. Springman, Jr., 82, of Cogan Station, passed away at home Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2019. Surviving is his loving wife of 57 years, Elaine K. (Bower) Springman.
Born Aug. 12, 1937, in Muncy, he was a son of the late Harry W. and Edna (Itterly) Springman.
Harry attended Montoursville schools and worked several places including the Lycoming Sanitary Authority and then retired from Loyalsock Township maintenance. A simple, hardworking man, with some vocal flare, Harry enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and family. He was also a talented woodworker.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, Mark A. Springman (Kelly), of Cogan Station; a daughter, Lisa M. Fulkrod (Richard), of Brookside; two grandchildren, Justin Myers (Corey) and Rikki McElroy (Jason); four great-grandchildren, Kayden, Austin, Landon and Harlee; a sister, Sister Camilla "Audrey" Springman of the Sisters of Christian Charity, of Danville; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Harry was preceded in death by a grandson, Richard Springman, four brothers, Frank, Clyde, Earl and Ray Springman; four sisters, Elnora Feastermaker, Ruth Weaver, Esther Boone, and Phyma Day.
A funeral service to honor the life of Harry will be held, 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, at Knight-Confer Funeral Home, 1914 Memorial Ave., Williamsport. Burial will follow in Balls Mills Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday at Knight-Confer.
