Francis C. "Frank" Ott, 91, of Williamsport, passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2018, at his home. He was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Annabelle R. (Fay) Ott, on Oct. 16, 2017.
Born Aug. 21, 1926, in Clay Township, Ohio, he was a son of the late Clayton Deem and Eunice Mae (Pipes) Ott.
Frank was a World War II Navy Veteran. He was formerly employed with the Pennsylvania Railroad and retired in February 1992 from Grit after 14 years.
He was a member of the former Church of the Savior Lutheran where he was a member of the congregation events committee. He also was a member of Keenagers and enjoyed woodworking.
Surviving are a son, William C. Ott (Jeannette), of Shamokin Dam; five grandchildren, Daniel J. Ott (Angel), of Williamsport, Vicki L. Cowher (Steven), of Williamsport, Kyle T. Evens (Angie), of Milton, Devin T. Sunderland, of Williamsport, and Michael R. Ott (Beth), of Williamsport; 11 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mary I. Ebert, of Florida.
In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Christie L. Moyer.
A funeral service to honor the life of Frank will be held 11 a.m. Monday, July 30, at Knight-Confer Funeral Home, 1914 Memorial Ave., Williamsport, with the Rev. David Byerly officiating. Burial will follow in Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until time of service at Knight-Confer Funeral Home.
