Evelyn Carlyne (Best) Bausinger

    Evelyn Carlyne Eddinger Bausinger 'Carlyne' came into this world on July 17, 1920, in Williamsport. She was called home to her Savior on Sunday, November 25, 2018. Carlyne was 98 years young.

     Carlyne was the eldest of five children born to the late Howard J. and Dolly F. (Bennett) Best. She was preceded in death by her beloved first husband, Floyd H. Eddinger; her second husband, Amos W. Bausinger; a sister, Dorothy Jarrett; and two brothers, James and David Best.

     She will be sorely missed by her sister, Lucille Brown, of Williamsport; sister-in-law, Evelyn Best, of Montoursville; three children, Bonnie J. Knapp (James), of State College, David F. Eddinger (Alice), of New Bern, NC, and Mary Ann Conley (James), of Walkersville, MD.  Carlyne will be lovingly missed by her six grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter, all who loved her dearly and called her, 'Nanny'. She will also be dearly missed by her loving nieces, nephews, and countless other family members, friends and associates who were blessed to have known her.

     Carlyne was a dedicated long time member of Church of the Savior Lutheran, Williamsport, for over 70 years. She loved serving the Lord and participated in many church activities.

     She was a diligent and self-giving homemaker who took so much pride in running an efficient and loving household for her family which was always her top priority. She was a gentle soul, grateful for the smallest kindness and always showed kindness to everyone by putting their needs before herself. Friends and family members will always remember Carlyne for her compassionate heart, her gift of listening to others and the wonderful gifts that came from her kitchen, especially cookies and pies. She will always be loved and she will be forever missed. Her reach extended well beyond her grasp as she touched and blessed the lives of so many people.

     A celebration of Carlyne's life will be held 11 a.m. Friday, November 30, at Knight-Confer Funeral Home, 1914 Memorial Avenue, Williamsport with the Rev. Ronald C. Miller, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until time of service at Knight-Confer Funeral Home.

     Burial will be held privately in Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy.

     The family extends thanks to the loving, compassionate care extended to Carlyne by the dedicated caregivers of the Williamsport Home.
