Eva Mae Baker, 88, of Williamsport, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2018, at the Williamsport Home. Surviving is her husband of 69 years, the Rev. Donald L. Baker.
Born May 24, 1930, in Jersey Shore, she was a daughter of the late Welker and Eleanor (Keller) Koch.
Eva was a graduate of Jersey Shore High School and a member of the Living Church where she was very active in church functions. Eva enjoyed flower gardening, vegetable gardening and bird watching. Most of all she loved and cherished being a wife, mother and grandmother.
Surviving in addition to her husband are six children, Ronald L. Baker (Lucinda), of Florida, Deborah L. Weaver (Allan), of Williamsport, Dawn E. Embick (Greg), of Montana, Roger E. Baker (Debra), Rex A. Baker (Lou Ann), and Randy S. Baker, all of Loyalsock; 17 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren and two brothers, Joseph Koch (Charlene), of Jersey Shore, and LaRue Koch, of Jersey Shore.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a grandson, Derrick Baker; granddaughter, Jennifer Powell, great-granddaughter, Emma Sanner, great-great-granddaughter, Eliza Swartzfegger; and a brother, John Koch.
A funeral service to honor the life of Eva will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, at Knight-Confer Funeral Home, 1914 Memorial Ave., Williamsport. Burial will follow in Buchanan Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until time of service at Knight-Confer Funeral Home.
