Ethel R. (Gescek) Wilhelm

     Ethel R. Wilhelm, 89, of Hellertown, passed away peacefully Friday, June 1, 2018, at AristaCare at Loyalsock.

     She was preceded in death by her husband of 15 years, William P. Wilhelm.

     Born Dec. 27, 1928, in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Donchez) Gescek.

     Ethel was a member of St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Bethlehem. She worked many years for Sears as a phone operator.

     She enjoyed cooking, sewing and crocheting. Ethel also enjoyed traveling and attended mass with the Pope.

     Surviving are her two daughters, Valerie L. Clymer (Todd), of Montoursville, and Vanessa A. Csaszar (Vendel); three stepchildren, Gail E. Davis, William P. Wilhelm Jr. and Thomas S. Wilhelm; two grandchildren, Sarah J. Clymer, of Montoursville, and Vanette T. Csaszar, of Hellertown; two brothers, Stephen Gescek, of Bethlehem, and Jack Gescek (Delores), of Hellertown; and a sister, Irene Skelly, of Bethlehem.

     In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers and five sisters.

     In keeping with her wishes services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Burial will be held in Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.
