Elizabeth E. “Betty” Way, 86, of Williamsport died peacefully Saturday, November 16, 2019 at Aristacare of Loyalsock. Surviving is her loving husband, James F. Way.
Born March 10, 1933 in Muncy she was a daughter of the late Jesse M. and Laura D. (O’Connor) Clark. Betty worked as a visiting nurse for Regional Home Health Care and volunteered at Susquehanna Home Care & Hospice and the Gatehouse. She was a member of the Newberry Lioness. She enjoyed ceramics, planting flowers, crocheting, embroidery, and doing word searches and puzzle books.
Surviving in addition to her husband are her children, Stanley L. Kott, of Williamsport, Margaret M. “Peggy” White, of Colorado, and Linda K. Lawton (Douglas), of Williamsport; her stepchildren, Dr. James F. Way, Jr. (Kathleen), of Montoursville , Dan T. Way (Delores), of South Williamsport, John Way, of South Williamsport, George Way (Stacey), of Loyalsock, Gerald L. Way (Terani), of Montoursville, and Teresa A. Brown, of South Williamsport; 9 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
A memorial service to honor the life of Betty will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, November 21, Knight-Confer Funeral Home 1914 Memorial Ave, Williamsport. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the time of service Thursday. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hills Cemetery, Hughesville.
