Eleanor M. "Lyn" Alsted, 69, of Williamsport, passed away Thursday, Oct. 11, 2018 at Valley View Rehab and Nursing Center, Montoursville. Surviving is her husband of 46 years, H. William "Bill" Alsted.
Born June 19, 1949, in Danville, Va. she was a daughter of the late Thomas H. and Ann (Stearns) Mansel.
Lyn was a 1967 graduate of Loyalsock Township High School. She was formerly employed with LL Stearns and Sons, was a real estate agent for Peggy L’Heureux Agency, and also worked alongside her husband Bill at his business.
Lyn was a member of Christ Episcopal Church where she was very active in many church activities. She was also a former member of the Junior League and volunteered with the Red Cross. Lyn enjoyed flower gardening.
Surviving in addition to her husband are a son, Thomas H. Alsted (Denise), of Etters, and two grandchildren Abigail and Ethan Alsted.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, James Mansel.
A memorial service to honor the life of Lyn will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 18 at Christ Episcopal Church, 426 Mulberry St, Williamsport with the Rev. Veronica Chappell. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until time of service at Christ Episcopal Church.
Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
