Echo L. Harper, 33, of Williamsport, passed away Sunday, Dec. 10, 2017, at UPMC Susquehanna after a year-long battle with melanoma cancer.
Born Oct. 26, 1984, in Williamsport she is a daughter of Mary L. (Richard) Kurtz, of Williamsport.
Echo attended Walk by Faith Full Gospel Church. She was the proud mother of her son, Colton A. Montgomery and her daughter, Alyvia M. Harper. Echo cherished her role as a mother, and loved being with her children, especially taking trips to the park to play. She was a talented self-made makeup and hair artist who enjoyed all things, hair, cosmetics and beauty.
Surviving in addition to her mother and children are two brothers, Dustin R. Schmouder (Danielle McFadden), of Cogan Station and DeWayne A. (Rhonda) Harris, of Williamsport; three nephews and one niece; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many dear friends.
Echo was preceded in death by her biological father, Chris A. Harper in 2008 and her grandparents.
A funeral service to honor the life of Echo will be held 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 15 at Knight-Confer Funeral Home, 1914 Memorial Ave., Williamsport, with the Rev. Ronald Morgret Jr. officiating. A viewing will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 14, at Knight-Confer. Burial will be held privately in Wildwood Cemetery.
