Arthur N. “Artie” Trimble, Jr., 79, of Trout Run, passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at UPMC Susquehanna, Williamsport. He was preceded in death by his wife of 39 years, Donna Lee (Cook) Trimble on December 6, 1998.
Born March 23, 1940, in Williamsport, he was a son of the late Arthur N. Sr. and Gladys Elizabeth (Griggs) Trimble.
Artie retired as a batch plant operator from Susquehanna Supply, and was also a farmer. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and farming.
Surviving are his children Andrew M. Trimble (Holli), of Muncy, Brenda L. Trimble, of Williamsport, Mary E. Trimble, of Williamsport, and Ann M. Smith (Christopher), of Williamsport; 16 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two brothers, James H. Trimble, of Trout Run, with whom he resided, and Franklin G. Trimble (Kaye), of Cogan Station; three sisters, June L. Wagner (Oliver), of New York, Gladys M. Dunkle (Walter), of Jersey Shore, and Barbara A. Kindlimann, of Trout Run; numerous nieces and nephews, with whom he was favorite “Uncle Artie”; and longtime family friends Scott and Holly Paulhamus, of Cogan Station.
In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by two daughters, Eleanor A. Pleasant-Baig and Tracey L. Anderson; four brothers, William O., Robert E., Bruce L., and Charles Trimble; and three sisters Frances L. Barnard, Adele R. Walters, and Margaret E. Hall.
A viewing will be held 3-5 p.m. Sunday, November 24, at Knight-Confer Funeral Home, 1914 Memorial Ave., Williamsport. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family in Stoltz Cemetery.
