Ann L. Carson, 87, of Williamsport, passed away Sunday, April 8, 2018, at UMPC Susquehanna Williamsport. Ann was born in Williamsport on Nov. 29, 1930, to Norma E. Stiber and Thomas M. Yoder.
She married William (Sam) Carson on June 26, 1954, and they shared 52 years of marriage until his death in October 2006. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a step father, Marvin L. Gross; an infant son, Christopher M.; and brothers, Thomas C. and Wayne S. Yoder.
Ann was a graduate of Williamsport High School and she had several occupations in her lifetime. She formerly worked at L.L Sterns and Sons, GTE Sylvania, Tetley Tea, and she managed a family operated soft ice cream drive-in near Nisbet on Route 654 Highway. Her greatest joy in life was being home around her swimming pool with her family.
During her life, Ann was a great seamstress and she enjoyed making clothes and decorating the interior of her home. She also had a passion for gardening and working outside.
In her later years she was an avid reader and she enjoyed solving word problems and puzzles right up until her death.
Ann is survived by a daughter, Susan L. Casoni (Pete), of Carlisle and sons, Patrick L. (Victoria), of Loyalsock and William S. (Elizabeth), of Woodstock, Md. Her grandchildren include Taylor Ann and Levi Patrick, of Loyalsock and Wesley Samuel, of Woodstock, Md.
As to her wishes, Ann was cremated and will be buried at Wildwood Cemetery following a small family ceremony in early summer.
