Alberta J. Hamilton, 84, of Linden, died Thursday, July 4, 2019 at UPMC Susquehanna Williamsport. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman F. Hamilton.
Born June 25, 1935, in Lock Haven, she was a daughter of the late Louise M. Hamm.
Alberta was a member of the Salvation Army Church. She enjoyed crocheting, painting, watching animal videos, wildlife and birds, and most of all spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving are; her nine children, Charles E. Hamilton, of Hughesville, Larry R. Hamilton, of Linden, Norman D. Hamilton (Bobbie), of Williamsport, Lonnie W. Hamilton, of Cogan Station, Shari A. Wilson (Donald), of Linden, Sarah E. Ball (Edward), of Picture Rocks, Paul B. Hamilton (Linda Emmil), of Loyalsock, Wayne D. Hamilton, of Linden, Bobbi J. Hamilton, of Linden; a brother Steven Hamilton (Diane) of Berwick; a sister Barbara Quiggle, of Salladasburg; twenty-nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; a few great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and mother, she was preceded in death by two grandchildren and a sister Joyce Ward.
A funeral service to honor the life Alberta will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday July 9 at Knight-Confer Funeral Home, 1914 Memorial Ave. Williamsport. Burial will follow in Linnwood Cemetery, McElhatten. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service at Knight-Confer Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Alberta’s name may be made to the Salvation Army Church, 457 Market Street Williamsport, PA 17701.
