Isabel Dorothy (Erskine) Slupecke, of Williamsport, entered into eternal rest on Friday, Jan. 17, 2020.
Born Sept. 6, 1918, in Erskine Quarry, Isabel was the daughter of Ralph and Daisy Belle Erskine.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, James Erskine and Robert Erskine; three sisters, Helen Lucas, Marcia Ludwick and Daisybel Ebert; her beloved husband, J. Edwin Slupecke; and a son, Joseph E. Slupecke Jr.
Isabel is survived by her loving daughter, Melissa (Larry) Dudek; grandchildren, Kristen Dudek, Matthew Dudek and Laura (Randall) Babin. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Sean Ashton Babin and Adelaide Rose Babin.
Isabel received a degree in bacteriology and chemistry from Ohio State University and was honorably discharged from the Navy in November 1945. While in the Navy she received recognition for her research on the Streptococcus virus. She was a member of the Covenant Central Presbyterian Church.
Interment will take place at the Camp Hill Cemetery at the convenience of the family. The family request that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Lycoming County S.P.C.A. 2805 Reach Road, Williamsport, PA 17701.
