Robert Emerson Furman, 72, of Montgomery died unexpectedly Friday, April 5, 2024.
Born October 3, 1951 in Sunbury he was a son of the late Neal and Marjorie (Yeager) Furman.
Bob graduated from Shikellamy High School and earned his Associate’s degree in architectural engineering from W.A.C.C. He worked for many years at Larson Design Group. Bob was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church. He proudly served his country in the United States Army Reserve during the Vietnam War.
A gentle and quiet soul, he enjoyed gardening, spending time at the beach, and playing video games. There was a special place in his heart for his beloved yorkies, Zoey, Lily, and Mylah. Above all else, Bob loved his family and playing with his grandchildren.
Surviving is his loving wife of 37 years, Theresa A. (Koehler) Furman; and family, Nicole Chandler (Jarrod), Deanna Roat (Chase), Theoden Roat, Eowyn Roat, Ryan Schramm, Anna Glinko, and Astrid Schramm.
A memorial service to honor Robert’s life will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, April 11 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 142 Market Street, Williamsport, with Pastor Brian Vasey officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Robert’s name may be made to St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 142 Market Street, Williamsport, PA 17701.
