Connie A. Bower, 76, of Williamsport, died Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at Rose View Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel D. Bower.
Born July 7, 1940, in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late Floyd and Helen (Shaffer) Sholder.
Connie was previously employed at Cobbler’s Ladies Shoe Outlet, GTE Sylvania, and Bailey’s Control. She enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, farming, and flower gardening. She was a country music fan and traveled to see various shows and concerts to watch her brother-in-law’s perform.
Surviving are her significant other, Daniel Hoover with whom she resided, a brother, Gilbert “Pete” Sholder, of McElhattan, two sisters, Roberta Jameson (Albert), of Trout Run, Jerri Haas (Gene), of Williamsport, a sister-in-law, Betty Sholder, of Jersey Shore, and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephew, and great-great-nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Lewie Sholder, and two sisters, Carol Cohick and Maudie “Sue” Mosteller.
A funeral service to honor the life of Connie will be held 2 p.m. Monday, February 13 at Knight-Confer Funeral Home, 1914 Memorial Avenue, Williamsport. Burial will follow in Buchanan Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until time of service at Knight-Confer Funeral Home.
