Jeffrey L. Kurtz

Jeffrey L. “Jeff” Kurtz, 55, of Williamsport passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at UPMC-Susquehanna, Williamsport.  

Born August 8, 1961, in Martin’s Ferry, OH he was a son of the late Arlow Kurtz and Nina (Windland) Briel. He was the loving husband of 24 years to Glenda J. (Snyder) Kurtz, who survives.

Jeff attended St. Joseph the Worker Parish, and was the housekeeping supervisor at Loyalsock Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, for the past ten years.  He loved working with the elderly.

In addition to his wife, Jeff is survived by four step-daughters, Karyn Forney, Kelly Martz, Kasey Baxter and Kym Bonnell; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Bruce Benson, Glenn and Joseph Kurtz; a sister, Arlene Kurtz and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Jeff was preceded in death by a brother, Mark Kurtz.

A memorial service to honor the life of Jeff will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at Knight Confer Funeral Home, 1914 Memorial Ave. Williamsport, with the Rev.  Brian VanFossen, officiating. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. The family will received friends on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the time of service at Knight-Confer.
