Shirley L. Schoch, 87, of Williamsport, passed away, Friday, Feb. 3, 2017, at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center. Surviving is her husband of 49 years, J. Emerson Schoch.
Born April 5, 1929, in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late Clair Simpson and Edna Mae (Frick) Lowe.
Shirley was a member of Tabernacle Baptist. She was employed at the former GTE Sylvania for 27 years. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and helping her husband, Emerson, with firewood.
Surviving in addition to her husband are a son, Keith L. Schoch, of Montoursville and four grandchildren, Taylor, Dalton, Sidney and Jeffery.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Gary S. Egli and Carey L. Schoch.
A funeral service to honor the life of Shirley will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8 at Knight-Confer Funeral Home, 1914 Memorial Ave., Williamsport, with the Rev. Joel W. Long officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until time of service at Knight-Confer Funeral Home.
Burial will be held private in Wildwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Shirley's name to Tabernacle Baptist Church, 911 W. Third St., Williamsport, PA 17701.
