Priscilla M. (Steffan) Bierman

     Priscilla Margaret Bierman, wife and widow of Clarence Edward Bierman, died Jan. 24, 2018. 

     She was born in Williamsport, daughter of Louis and Eva (Berry) Steffan.

     She is survived by her son, George Edward Bierman, of Montoursville. Also, Norman Wengert, who was Marguerite’s husband. 

     In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her two daughters, Marguerite Priscilla Bierman and Suzette Lynn Bedford.

     Clarence and Priscilla were married 58 years before he passed in 2006.

     Mrs. Bierman was a member of the Pastors Sunday School Class at Emmanuel Baptist Church, Williamsport since 1970.

     She was past regent of the Lycoming Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution from 1968 through 1971.

     She attended Lincoln Grade School, in Newberry, Williamsport High School, and the former Dickinson Seminary, now Lycoming College. 

     After college she was a draftsman at AVCO and then went to work at the Carroll House. She was married on Dec. 27, 1948.

     A funeral service to honor the life of Priscilla will be held at noon, Saturday, Feb. 3 at Knight-Confer Funeral Home, 1914 Memorial Avenue, Williamsport with the Rev. David K. Bixler officiating. Burial will follow in Montoursville Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until time of service at Knight-Confer Funeral Home. 

     It was Priscilla’s wish that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made in Priscilla’s name to Susquehanna Health Foundation, c/o Susquehanna Home Care and Hospice, 1001 Grampian Blvd. Williamsport, PA 17701 or missionary of donor’s choice.
