Lois Josephine (Jodun) Jones

     Lois Josephine Jones, 80, of Williamsport, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family Monday, June 12, 2017, to enter her eternal home. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, John E. "Jack" Jones on July 18, 2004.

     Born January 27, 1937, in Orviston, she was a daughter of the late Earl A. and Vera E. (Miller) Jodun.

     She was a graduate of Bald Eagle-­Nittany High School. Lois loved to knit, embroider, cook and tend her flowers. Her true love in life was her husband, her children, her grandchildren, and her great-grandchildren. She was always there for her family to love and support them. She will be greatly missed.

     Surviving are her two sons, John E. Jones (Brenda), of Oval and David W. Jones (Anna), of Trout Run; two daughters, Cathleen A. Buck (Gale), of Montgomery and Carol L. Thomas (James), of Cogan Station; seven grandchildren, Jason Buck (Stacy),  Kyle Buck (Kelly), Jeremiah, Hilary, and Nathan Jones, Abigail and Trevor Thomas; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Guy "Joe" Jodun, of Lock Haven and George Jodun (Pauline), of Bellefonte; and a sister, Lorraine Croak, of Lock Haven.

     In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Glenn Jodun.

     A funeral service to honor the life of Lois will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, June 15, at Knight-Confer Funeral Home, 1914 Memorial Ave., Williamsport, with the Rev. Viking Dietrich officiating. Burial will follow in Wildwood Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Knight-Confer Funeral Home.

     In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Lois’ name to Susquehanna Health Foundation c/o the Gatehouse, 1001 Grampian Blvd., Williamsport, PA 17701.

     The family of Lois would like to extend their appreciation and thanks to the Gatehouse at Divine Providence Hospital for their love, care, and support.
