John H. Wilton, Sr.

     John H. Wilton Sr., 79, of Williamsport, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2018, at his home. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Marlene J. (Kuhns) Wilton. 

     Born March 6, 1938, in Akron, Ohio, he was a son of the late Donald Francis Wilton and Irene (Shannon) Wilton-Weaver.

     John was a United States Army Veteran and retired from Pullman Power Products. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, and was a talented woodworker and leather crafter. 

     Surviving are his three sons, John H. Wilton Jr. (Dena), of Muncy, Harry L. Wilton and Keith R. Wilton, both of Williamsport; a sister, Lois Koons, of Avis; ten grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and his beloved dog, Angel. 

     In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth R. Wilton.

     In keeping with his wishes, burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family in Buchanan Cemetery. 

     Memorial contributions may be made in John’s name to his son, John H. Wilton Jr., 70 Heatherbrooke Estates, Muncy, PA 17756 to help defer expenses.
