John D. Manley, Sr.January 19, 1940 ~ September 3, 2017 (age 77)
John D. Manley, Sr., 77, of Muncy, passed away Sunday, September 3, 2017 at his home.
Born January 19, 1940 in Shamokin, he was a son of David H. and Kathryn L. (Bowman) Manley.
John had worked at Hon Industries and also at Benner’s Amusements for 32 years as a ride supervisor. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Williamsport. John enjoyed BINGO at South Williamsport Senior Citizens, tinkering, and enjoyed coaching and watching wrestling. He loved helping others and spending time with his family.
Surviving are his wife Ann (Miller) Manley with whom he would have celebrated 52 years of marriage with on December 1 , a son Gregg A. Manley (Tonya), four daughters Crystal L. Hyde (Lee) of New Cumberland, Kathy A. Danilowicz of Williamsport, and Amanda and Teresa Manley, two siblings Gerald E. Manley and Mary P. Koons both of Sunbury, nine grandchildren Kristy, David, Johnna, Anthony, Brian, Samantha, Lindsay, Zachary, and Sylas, and 11 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three sons John D. Manley, II, David J. Manley, and Terry Lee Manley, a daughter Proalla L. Manley, two brothers James R. Manley, and Donald W. Manley, and a sister Kathryn M. Manley.
A funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 9 at Knight-Confer Funeral Home 1914 Memorial Ave. Williamsport. Burial will follow in Green Lawn Memorial Park, Montgomery. Visitation will be held from 9:30-10:30 Saturday at Knight-Confer Funeral Home.
