John “Scott” Kriner, 64, of South Williamsport, died Friday, February 22, 2013 at his home.
Born April 13, 1948, in Williamsport, he was a son of the late Leon and Geraldine (Tacka) Kriner.
Scott married Loretta Carlton and celebrated 21 years together. He graduated from Williamsport Area Community College with a degree in engineering and worked for Svedala for 15 years. Scott was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, guns, reloading ammunition and riding Harley Davidson motorcycles.
Surviving in addition to his wife are five sons, Jason (Tammy) Kriner of Muncy, Jim (Olivia) Harris of New Columbia, Matthew (Kristen) Kriner of Carlisle, Brandon Kriner and Christian Kriner, both of South Williamsport; four daughters, Kim (Scott) Orwig of Lebanon, Teresa (Gib) Shuler of Rauchtown, Annette Kriner and Sarah Kriner, both of South Williamsport; a brother, James L. Kriner of Williamsport; ten grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
A viewing will be held 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Knight-Confer Funeral Home, 1914 Memorial Ave., Williamsport. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
