Helen N. Smith, 95, of Montoursville, formerly of Linden, entered her heavenly home on March 20, 2018.
Born August 14, 1922, in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late J. Raymond and Helen E. (Rathmell) Lundy.
Orphaned at an early age, she and six of her seven siblings were raised at the Evangelical United Brethren Orphanage in Lewisburg. She often remarked how thankful she was for the opportunity to be raised with her siblings, who remained close all their lives.
Helen attended Community Baptist Church for many years. Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in God filled her many years with joy and peace.
Surviving are her children, Marvin Smith, of Williamsport and Karen Boyer (Harry), of Montoursville; four grandchildren, Steven Smith, Heather Garton, Mark Boyer and Aaron Boyer; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and a brother, John Lundy.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Lee M. Smith; a grandson, David Smith; five sisters, Annie McCarty, Marty Steinback, Beaty Kahler, Esther Gleckner, and Alice Butterworth; and a brother, William Lundy.
A memorial service to honor the life of Helen will be held 1:30 p.m. Friday, March 30 at Community Baptist Church, 1853 Route 87, Montoursville.
