Florence A. Pardee, 80, of Montoursville, formerly of Williamsport, died Friday, February 22, 2013 at the Williamsport Hospital.

Born Aug. 26, 1932 in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late Mary Helminiak. She was preceded in death by her brother, Stephen DeBrody.

Florence attended the Overbrook School for the Blind and received a degree in horticulture from Williamsport Area Community College. Florence alongside her husband and through the cooperation of the Blind Association worked at the Grit stuffing advertisement inserts. For over 40 years she was the owner and operator of Pardee Greenhouse and Variety Shop. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Florence enjoyed her family, friends, bingo, horticulture, ceramics, cards (she was the "Nello" queen), baking, scratch off lottery tickets, going to the casino and keeping up with the latest technology - such as playing the Wii with her children and grandchildren, she always knew how to have fun.

Surviving are her loving husband of 54 years, James H. Pardee; three sons, Chris Pardee of Montoursville, Jim (Amy) Pardee of Williamsport and Dave Pardee of Williamsport; a daughter, Janet (Steve) Payne of Muncy; a sister, Martha Maroney of New York; and nine grandchildren, Jim Payne, Rachel Pardee, Emily Pardee, Jonathan Straub, Spencer Pardee, Jacob Pardee, Lauren Pardee, Christian Pardee and Tyler Pardee.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 800 Mulberry St. Montoursville with Rev. John K. Manno, celebrant. There will be a visitation tonight from 6-8 P.M. at Knight-Confer Funeral Home, 1914 Memorial Ave. Williamsport.

Interment will be in Wildwood Cemetery.
