Ethel M. Ashton, 59, of Williamsport, died Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2017, at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center.
Born Dec. 21, 1957, in Williamsport, she was a daughter of Emerson and Joann Gair Eiswerth.
Ethel was the manager at the UNI Mart in Newberry, where she worked for the past 30 years. Earlier in life, she bowled at the Harvest Moon lanes.
She is survived by her companion of 30 years, Thomas W. Applegate; a sister, Kathy (Dean) Pepperman, of Linden; a brother, Tryon Eiswerth, of Md.; two nephews, Shawn and Brion Pepperman; and three stepchildren, Kathy Applegate, of N.C., Tracy Applegate, of Williamsport and Thomas Applegate Jr., of Williamsport.
There will be a viewing Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Knight-Confer Funeral Home, 1914 Memorial Ave.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family to assist with final expenses, c/o Kathy Pepperman, 4969 Pine Run Road, Linden, PA 17744.
