From the time I was very little I was told that Elva Mae was my mom’s best friend (way before BFF came into fashion) I heard about their many childhood stories and adventures together (the rolling pin to make your fanny smaller, comes to mind). I know my mom could not have had a better best friend! Even over the years and distance Elva Mae always stayed in touch with cards, letters and conversation. I am glad Elva was my mom’s best friend. She will be missed and I am deeply saddened to hear of her passing.
My thoughts and prayers are with all her family and friends..

I picked a baseball and Elva Mae would laugh. You see we loved to play baseball "with the boys". She would always get picked first before me because she could hit the ball soooo far and she did it with one hand on the bat! It was easy for her. She is my oldest and dearest friend and I will miss her dearly. I'm just so thankful she has always been in my life. Elva Mae had the gift of walking into a room full of strangers and before long she would have them talking and laughing. She was a gift to many, many people in her life. and I love her. Rest in Peace my BFF. Love you!

Our heartfelt sympathy with the passing of Elva, prayers for God's comfort now & in the days ahead during this difficult time of grief. As believers we can grieve with hope (I Thessalonians 4:13) that we will see our loved ones again.

Dear Ed and Family,
I am truly sorry for your loss. While I met your mother but once, it was obvious she was important in your life and the lives of Kerri and your children, and I know she will be missed. How beautiful that your children had time to know and love her and to feel her love. I pray God provides your family with comfort and peace.
