Carol A. Titus, 71, of Williamsport, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, Oct. 15, 2017, at Rose View Center, after her battle with cancer surrounded by her family and friends. Surviving is her husband of 49 years, Richard L. Titus, of Williamsport.
Born March 24, 1946, in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late Archie G. Roles (Irene) and Ida (Wettlaufer) Newton (Robert).
She was a graduate of Williamsport High School. Carol formerly worked at Faxon Bowling and retired from ABC Bowling Lanes as a Junior Bowling Director. She was a member of the Lycoming County Junior Bowling Association, the Williamsport Women’s Association, and the 600 Club.
Carol loved bowling and everyone she met over the years through working at the lanes and bowling leagues. She enjoyed yard sales, crocheting, and cherished spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to her husband are a son, Brian L. Titus (Jessica); a daughter, Rhonda L. Harris (DeWayne), both of Williamsport; five grandchildren, Elliot Harris, Dylan Titus, Christopher Harris, Brayden Titus, and Emalynn Titus; two sisters, Brenda Day (Robert), of Williamsport and Sandra Stevens (Allen), of New Mexico; several nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, George F. and Robert L. Roles.
A funeral service to honor the life of Carol will be held 11 a.m. Friday, October 20, at Knight-Confer Funeral Home, 1914 Memorial Ave., Williamsport. Burial will follow in Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Thursday and from 10 a.m. until time of service Friday at Knight-Confer Funeral Home.
